In 2008 147,392 Abdominoplasty Operations (Tummy Tucks) were performed in the United States. Of these 143,005 (97%) were performed on women. 4,387 (3%) were performed on men. Statistics courtesy of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

How common is a Tummy Tuck?
Current statistics on this subject are hard to find. I did find the following:
For the Year 2007
- 185,335 total Tummy Tuck procedures were performed (both men and women)
- 180,457 Tummy Tuck procedures were for women
- Tummy Tuck was one of the top five cosmetic procedures among men and women in 2007
- The number of surgical and nonsurgical procedures performed on men increased 17 percent since 2006.
