After a colonoscopy
After a colonoscopy you usually feel pretty good (assuming you receive positive results). You wake up in the recovery room and within seconds you are clear headed and sitting up in bed. There was no pain or discomfort with any part of the procedure but you are glad that it's over with. Now you just have to wait and talk to the doctor about the results.
The following are personal notes that I took describing my colonoscopy experience from the time I woke up in the recovery room
-
I woke up in the recovery room.
-
Was fully awake in seconds. No side effects or negative stuff from being asleep.
-
No pain or discomfort in the behind.
-
Nurse called taxi for me. They also called a friend to let him know I was being discharged.
-
I got dressed and within 10 minutes of waking up was walking out the door to await my taxi.
-
Nurse called me about an hour or so later to make sure I made it home OK and that I was alright. She indicted that they will call again tomorrow to make sure no complication.
