GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY

GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY is one form of operation used to treat morbid obesity. Bariatric surgery is the term used that encompasses all of the surgical treatments for morbid obesity, not just gastric bypasses.

I did not have Gastric Bypass Surgery. I chose to try a lifestyle change that included exercise, weight training and proper nutrition. This is how I lost weight.

  1. Gastric bypass
Surgery makes the stomach smaller and allows food to bypass part of the small intestine. You will feel full more quickly than when your stomach was its original size, which reduces the amount of food you eat and thus the calories consumed. Bypassing part of the intestine also results in fewer calories being absorbed. This leads to weight loss.
