Belt Lipectomy Surgery
This is my personal story of having a tummy tuck with a belt lipectomy surgery including before & after photographs and a daily log of my pre-operation, day-of-surgery and post-operation recovery experiences. See what a belt lipectomy is all about.
What Is Belt Lipectomy Surgery?
A belt lipectomy is the surgical procedure used to remove excess skin and fat from around the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks. A belt lipectomy (also known as a lower body lift) is used to re-sculpt the waist (or belt area) of an individual after a great weight loss to provide a more lean and toned appearance. It is actually a combination of plastic surgical procedures and includes a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), a thigh lift and a buttock lift. It offers one of the most dramatic transformation of the mid and lower body.
How Is Belt Lipectomy Surgery Performed?
The operation is performed by a plastic surgeon in a medical facility or hospital.
What Does Lipectomy Mean?
Lipectomy is the surgical removal of fat and fatty tissue.
Belt Lipectomy Surgery Before And After
Having a belt lipectomy makes a world of difference. It not only changes your appearance to others but changes your self image. See Before And After Pictures Of My Belt Lipectomy.
Excess Skin Before Surgery
Imagine that you spent the last few years dieting and exercising to lose over 150 pounds and after all that work you are left with sagging skin hanging down all over your belt. The skin not only hangs down but it moves freely and "splashes about" as you walk or move around. It just feels weird and makes you very self conscious.
Improved Self Image After A Belt Lipectomy
After the surgery you are happier and can sort of breath easier knowing that all that excess hanging skin is gone and you can now walk, move and even run without all that skin flapping about. Going out in public is not longer an embarrassing experience.
