Thank you for your information. We just took my 16 yr old daughter to the doctor for muscle atrophy in her hand. The information you have is helpful and informative.

I think our physician is on the right track because she did mention each of the test you spoke about and she's starting with the EMG. I'm glad to know ahead of time that this may be an uncomfortable test for my daughter.

Sasett,

Sorry to hear about your daughter's muscle atrophy in her hand.

My EMG test probably lasted 15-20 minutes and overall was fascinating to me. The only "uncomfortable part" was the one or two seconds when he turned on the "juice" for each test. I just had to grit my teeth a little for some of them. Other's weren't so bad. I think I had four tests for each arm. Overall it goes by pretty quickly.

If I had to take another one I wouldn't have a problem with it.
