How long after tummy tuck surgery before you can drive? how long after surgery before you can wash your hair or been over?

My surgeon advises waiting two weeks before driving a car. I cheated a little and drove after one week with no problems.

Washing your hair and bending over will probably vary more with each patient. I can only answer those questions as they related to my personal experience.

I probably washed my hair two days after the surgery and that was by bending over the kitchen sink and washing it there. I was slow and careful not to pull on my midsection and stitches. It was easy to be careful because my bandages and compression garment held my midsection tightly in place.

I don't remember bending over to be much of a problem, but I don't remember how long it was before I was able to touch the ground with my hands. For a point of reference, 19 days after my surgery I was able to do pushups so I suppose I could bend somewhat. I just had to do it slowly and carefully.
